Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.

Ary hianao, ry Betleema Efrata, kely tsy tokony ho isan' ireo arivon' i Jodà akory, avy aminao no hivoaka ho ahy ilay tsy maintsy ho Mpanapaka amin' Israely, ary ny niandohany dia efa hatramin' ny andro fahagola, hatramin' ny andro mandrakizay.

Et toi Bethléem , Éphrata, le moindre des clans de Juda, c' est de toi que me naîtra celui qui doit régner sur Israël; ses origines remontent au temps jadis, aux jours antiques.

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Koa dia hatolony ireny, Ambara-pihavin' ny fotoana hiterahan' izay anankiray hiteraka; Ary izay sisa amin' ny rahalahiny dia hiverina mbamin' ny Zanak' Isiraely.

Koa noho izany, dia hanolotra an' ireny izy mandra-pihavin' ny fotoana hiterahan' ilay tsy maintsy miteraka; ary ny sisa amin' ireo rahalahiny dia hiverina amin' ny zanak' Israely.

C' est pourquoi il les abandonnera jusqu' au temps où aura enfanté celle qui doit enfanter. Alors le reste de ses frères reviendra aux enfants d' Israël.

Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.

Ary hitsangana Izy hiandry ny ondriny amin' ny herin' i Jehovah. Sy amin' ny voninahitry ny anaran' i Jehovah Andriamaniny, Ka handry fahizay ireny, Fa izao dia ho lehibe hatrany amin' ny faran' ny tany Izy.

Ho mafy fijoro izy, ka hiandry ny ondriny, amin' ny herin' ny Tompo, amin' ny fiandrianan' ny anaran' ny Tompo Andriamaniny; ary handry fahizay ny olona, fa ho lehibe izy amin' izay hatrany amin' ny faran' ny tany.

Il se dressera, il fera paître son troupeau par la puissance de Yahvé, par la majesté du nom de son Dieu. Ils s'établiront, car alors il sera grand jusqu' aux extrémités du pays.

And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

Celui-ci sera paix! Assur, s' il envahit notre pays, s' il foule notre sol, nous dresserons contre lui sept pasteurs, huit chefs d' hommes;

And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

Hiandry ny tanin' i Asora amin' ny sabatra ireo, sy ny tanin' i Nemroda eo ambavahadiny; ary izy hanafaka antsika amin' ny Asiriana, rahefa tonga amin' ny tanintsika ireny, sy hanitsaka ny faritanintsika ny tongony.

ils feront paître le pays d' Assur avec l'épée, le pays de Nemrod avec le glaive. Il nous délivrera d' Assur s' il envahit notre pays, s' il foule notre territoire.

And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

Ary ny sisa amin' i Jakoba, any amin' ny firenena maro, ho toy ny ando avy amin' ny Tompo, toy ny orana mipitipitika milatsaka amin' ny ahi-maitso; izy tsy miandry izay olona akory, na matoky ny zanak' olombelona.

Alors, le reste de Jacob sera, au milieu des peuples nombreux, comme une rosée venant de Yahvé, comme des gouttes de pluie sur l' herbe, qui n' espère point en l' homme ni n' attend rien des humains.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

Ary izay sisa amin' i Jakoba ao amin' ny jentilisa, Ao amin' ny firenena maro, Dia ho tahaka ny liona amin' ny biby any an' ala, Sy ho tahaka ny liona tanora ao amin' ny andian' ny ondry aman' osy: Raha mamaky eo izy, dia manitsakitsaka sy mamiravira, ka tsy misy mahavonjy.

Ary ny sisa amin' i Jakoba, any amin' ny firenena, eo afovoan' ny vahoaka maro, dia ho toy ny liona eo amin' ny biby any an' ala, ho toy ny liona tanora eo amin' ny andian' ondry; ka raha mandalo sy manosihosy ary mamiravira izy, tsy misy mahavonjy.

Alors, le reste de Jacob sera, au milieu des peuples nombreux, comme un lion parmi les bêtes de la forêt, comme un lionceau parmi les troupeaux de moutons : chaque fois qu' il passe, il piétine, il déchire, et personne ne lui arrache sa proie.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.

Aoka haingaina amin' ny rafilahinao ny tananao, Ary aoka ho ringana ny fahavalonao rehetra.

Aoka hiainga ny tànanareo hamely izay manohitra anareo, ary aoka ho ringana ny fahavalonareo!

Que ta main se lève sur tes adversaires et tous tes ennemis seront retranchés!

Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.

Amin' izany andro izany, - teny marin' ny Tompo, ny soavalinao haringako eo aminao, ny kalesinao hofongorako.

Voici ce qui arrivera ce jour-là, oracle de Yahvé! Je retrancherai de ton sein tes chevaux, je ferai disparaître tes chars;

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:

Hofoanako ny tanàna amin' ny taninao, Ary harodako ny tanànanao mimanda rehetra;

Ny tanàna eo amin' ny taninao horavako; ny tranonao mimanda harodako avokoa.

je retrancherai les cités de ton pays, je détruirai toutes tes villes fortes;

And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:

Ny famosavianao, hesoriko eny an-tànanao, ka tsy hisy mpimasy intsony eo aminao.

je retrancherai de ta main les sortilèges, et tu n' auras plus de devins;

And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:

Hofoanako tsy hisy aminao koa ny sampinao voasokitra Sy ny tsangam-baton-tsampinao; Ary tsy hiankohoka eo anatrehan' ny asan' ny tananao intsony ianao.

Ny sampy aman-tsangam-batonao ho foanako eo aminao, ka tsy hivavaka amin' ny asan-tànanao intsony hianao.

je retrancherai de ton sein tes statues et tes stèles et tu ne pourras plus te prosterner désormais devant l' ouvrage de tes mains,

Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.

Hongotako tsy ho eo aminao ny Aserahanao; Ary horavako koa ny tanànanao.

Hongotako ny aserah eo afovoanao, ary harodako ny tanànanao.

j' arracherai de ton sein tes pieux sacrés, et j' anéantirai tes cités.

And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.

Ary ny fahatezerana sy ny fahavinirana no hamaliako ny firenena izay tsy mihaino.

Ary amin' ny hatezerako amam-pahavinirako aho hamaly faty an' ireo firenena izay tsy nihaino.

Avec colère, avec fureur, je tirerai vengeance des nations qui n' ont pas obéi.

And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
